Canadian Club of Aylmer - Privacy Statement
Protecting
your personal information and respecting your privacy is
important to the German Canadian Club of Aylmer. We only collect and
use your
personal information as necessary to provide products and services in
the normal course of business. We will not disclose your personal
information to third parties with out your consent, as detailed in the
below principles.
We
have based these principles on the federal government's privacy
legislation, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic
Documents Act.

We are responsible for personal information under our control. We have
designated an individual who is responsible for ensuring compliance
with the Privacy Principles.
- Identifying purposes: When we collect personal
information we will identify the purpose either directly or through our
or your authorized representatives.
- Consent: We will obtain your consent when we
collect,
use and disclose personal information. Unless required by law, where
legal, medical or security reasons make it impossible or impractical to
seek consent. Consent may be written, verbal, electronic, or through
our or your authorized representatives. In some cases consent may also
be implied.
- Limiting collection: We will limit the
collection of
personal information to that which is required for our stated purpose.
All information will be obtained fairly and lawfully.
- Limiting use, disclosure and retention:
Personal
information will be used or disclosed only for the purposes it was
collected or other purposes for which consent has been obtained or as
required or permitted by law. We will keep personal information for as
long as is required to fulfill the identified purposes for which it was
collected, or as required or permitted by law.
- Accuracy: We will undertake to ensure personal
information that is collected, used or disclosed will be as accurate,
complete and as up-to-date as necessary for the purpose for which it is
to be used.
- Safeguards: We will undertake appropriate
security safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized
uses.
- Openness:
Information regarding our privacy policies and practices with respect
to the management of personal information shall be made available to
you.
- Individual access: We will upon written
request,
provide information regarding the existence, use and disclosure of your
personal information. Access will be given to your personal
information, subject to certain limitations, as permitted under the
act. We will also allow you to verify the accuracy and completeness of
the information, and request that it be amended, if appropriate.
- (Website only) IP Addresses: An IP address is a
number which is used to identify computers so that data such as web
pages you request can be sent to you. Our web server automatically
collects IP addresses for purposes of administering our system and to
help us diagnose problems with our server.
- Inquiries and concerns: You may contact us
if you have any inquiries or concerns about our privacy policies and
practices Inquiries should be directed to our Board of Directors.

page is best viewed with a minimum resolution of 800x600 with at least
256 colours. No cookies are used.

page has been tested with Internet Explorer 5x, 6x, Netscape (Mozilla
and it's offspring) as well as Safari (and other KHTML browsers) on
Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and FreeBSD platforms.
