Rent the hall

Saxonia Hall is run entirely by volunteers. We love hosting weddings, anniversaries, fundraisers and community events, but we can only take on the bookings our volunteers can staff. Every rental starts with the application below. We will review it and get back to you within a week.

Main banquet hall

Seats up to 430

Our biggest room, with a hardwood dance floor, a large stage, a built-in sound system, a projector and two full-service bars. Tables can be set up in whatever layout suits you. Weddings, conferences, trade shows, job fairs, meetings, seminars, anniversaries and fundraising dinners.

Bavarian Lounge

Up to 100 for meetings, 90 for dinners

A cosy wood-panelled room with its own stage, dance floor, sound system, projector, dart boards and a custom stone bar. It has its own back entrance, so it works as a private space or opens onto the field. Meetings, seminars, parties, baptisms, anniversaries, funerals and family gatherings.

Long picnic tables under a canopy of mature trees, with string lights for the evening. Steps from the lounge's back entrance, so the bar and washrooms are right there. Outdoor weddings and ceremonies, family reunions, summer parties and anniversaries.

Five acres behind the hall

Two full-size soccer pitches, a baseball diamond with backstop and plenty of parking. Car shows, tournaments, wedding photos and large outdoor events. Washrooms and the back banquet rooms are available on request.

How booking works

Because the hall is run by volunteers, we book by application rather than first come, first served. Here is what to expect.

    Apply online

    Tell us about your event, your date and roughly how many people. It takes about five minutes.

  2. 2

    We review it

    We check the calendar and whether we have the volunteers to host you well, and get back to you within a week.

  3. 3

    You get a quote

    If we can host you, we send a quote by email with a breakdown of the rental, bar and any extras.

  4. 4

    Sign the contract

    Happy with the quote? We send a contract you can read and sign online in a minute or two.

  5. 5

    Deposit holds the date

    Pay the deposit and your date is confirmed. The balance is due two weeks before the event.
